Dr. Jordan Belisle
Dr. Jordan Belisle is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level and a licensed behavior analyst in Michigan. He earned his PhD in Rehabilitation / Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University and holds a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis (Southern Illinois University) as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Psychology (St. Lawrence College). Before joining Entiva Behavioral Health, Dr. Belisle was a tenured professor at Missouri State University, contributing to the behavior analysis and psychology programs.
With over 100 peer-reviewed book chapters and research articles published in major behavior analytic journals, Dr. Belisle has presented his work at more than 300 national and international events. His pioneering research focuses on advancing technologies that support autistic and neurodivergent individuals and their families, with an emphasis on emotional well-being and meaningful behavioral outcomes. Dr. Belisle’s approach goes beyond just teaching new behaviors; it’s about fostering emotional well-being, building autonomy, and helping learners discover innovative ways to grow and thrive on their own terms.
He was also a key contributor to the development of the PEAK Relational Training System, a groundbreaking framework for teaching complex cognitive skills to learners with autism and other developmental disabilities. Additionally, he co-authored Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Behavior Analysts alongside Drs. Mark Dixon and Steven Hayes. This innovative clinical model, which is being expanded at Entiva, integrates advances in behavior analysis to empower families and honor neurodiversity while fostering supportive social systems.
With years of hands-on experience, Dr. Belisle has held leadership roles in various settings, including specialized schools for autistic children and regional ABA clinics. His clinical work is all about compassion and collaboration, putting the values and goals of each family at the heart of the therapeutic process. At Entiva Behavioral Health, he’s expanding these services to reach more learners, ensuring that challenging behaviors are addressed with care and respect, always honoring the child’s voice and assent.
Dr. Belisle is a passionate advocate for neurodiversity and culturally sensitive care. As president of the Missouri Association for Behavior Analysis (2022-2024), he’s been pushing for changes that reflect the diversity of experiences in the autism community. He’s also mentored over 30 students and interns, guiding them to become thoughtful and compassionate behavior analysts.
